Anyway, I'm a guitarist. I was inspired to pick up the guitar by Kirk Hammett of Metallica. I've since found other bands to mimic, branching away from metal and into more clean styles and occasionally some blues. Sometimes I write my own music with no style in mind.
I'm a generally happy person. I know when to joke and when not to. I had a friend tell me "hilarity is in my nature." I don't know if I believe him, so I'll let you decide. Often times I express my sense of humor through sarcasm or teasing. If I pick on you, it means I like you.

In describing myself I say I am passionate, fun and health conscious.

Let me elaborate. I am passionate about family, love and life in general. I believe in being grateful for each day and for the things you have in life and even if I have ambitions to want more (such as in work or fulfilling my goals to live a healthy lifestyle) I never forget to be gracious for the things I already have.

Fun is so important in life-my definition of fun can be anything from taking a walk, working out, going to movies or watching one at home, playing wii, spending time at home, doing home improvement projects, playing video games online, riding bikes, cooking, traveling to near or far places, and of course the obvious spending time with family and friends. Of course there is more and mostly I am willing to try new things.

On the health conscious side of me, I in the past have not always taken care of myself- I put this out there as there is no reason not to put it out there. I have made significant changes in my lifestyle and what and how I eat and how much I exercise and it is paying off big time and I feel better than ever. But I am still overweight and take my weight loss goals and health very serious. I had to address issues in my life that made me unhealthy such as taking care of everyone else before myself and being an emotional eater and I was leading a sedentary life- but that is over and I want to become friends and maybe more with someone who wants to live an active healthy lifestyle. A good friend of mine said to me one day it is not the number days you live but how you live the life you have and they are totally right!

So in saying that, if you are a smoker, or only eat meat and potatoes or are closed minded about eating healthy (I am not a vegetarian) and are not open to a healthy lifestyle then we likely are not a good match. Now I am not a total prude I can kick back a couple of beers or have a couple glasses of wine now and again with friends but in moderation only. I do not go to bars as they are too smoky.

As for work, I am passionate about work and would expect my partner to have a similar passion (not that work is everything) I would say that I want someone to be successful- successful in what they enjoy doing and the only way to do that is to be good at what you do and enjoy doing it.

I have been through a lot in my life. While I am fully aware people have been through worse, much worse, I still know I have had my fair share of trials. I have learned so much though that even the worst of it has made me grateful for the lesson and knowledge it gave me. I have become a different person, a person I am more proud of in the last few years. I have learned that you rarely need to make emotionally based decisions or statements. Even when the emotion is a good one, if it is not followed by something rational it will (and sooner more often than not)be followed by regret, resentment or both.
I have learned you can not "make life what you want it". Life just is, it does not wait for you to be ready or care how fast you fall. It does not rewind or pause. Life is and will be after as it was before you, it's what you do with knowing that, that makes it your own. In my eyes, the cup is neither "half empty" or "half full" it has something to drink, maybe you wanted less than a cup in which case it being "half empty" would be a pro not a con. It just is, and you make of it what you will.

When I was a kid, I wanted to be an artist because I loved watching my grandma paint. I've been told I can before, but since I got out of high school I haven't done any drawings. I would love to take some art classes just for the hell of it.

I'm a little excitable and stress way too much over the smallest issues. Some find it endearing, others, annoying. If you're the latter, you might as well get over it. It's just one of the many neurotic qualities that make me me. I'm just looking at trying to find someone I click with. Who I can look at and say "I want no one else." I had thought I found that a couple of times but they didn't work out so well. I'm just your average chick. I live on my own, have a good job and I'm really close to my family. I did the party thing for a few years, and it's fun once in a while, but mostly I like to kick back with a couple of friends and just drink coffee and do some people-watching. I'm 36 years old and tired of the games and b.s. that it seems most people try to hand me. I try very hard to be a good man and to treat those around me with the respect and dignity they deserve. I work in construction and have for almost 20 years. I love the work I do but am so very tired of being alone with no-one to share all the beautiful and crazy things life has to offer. Im a very loyal man and try and do everything I can to make who Im with happy all the time.

I'm 24 years old. My favorite color is blue. I am 5'5 3/4" with freckles and dimples. I'm told I have a very pleasant voice.

Just in case it wasn't patently obvious, I try, a bit too hard sometimes I think, to make self depreciating jokes and fail from time to time. I'm a bit twisted, have a dark sense of humor, am horribly cynical, and skeptical of damn near everything. I like to think that I'm completely original and unlike anyone you've ever met, but I don't know you yet and I could be like everyone else you know, which I believe would be frightening in and of itself.
